(Un)Common Objects
For this project, I experimented with various objects and typographic mark making techniques to create word forms.
Using found objects from around my house, I created several marks by dipping the objects in ink and experimenting with different ways of laying it on my paper. I used different force, speed, angle, and intention to create marks that exude different attitudes and feelings. I chose words that enhance the marks that I made. The marks shown below were scanned into my computer to be digitally manipulated into the final word compositions.
